Stanford University Medical Center kicks off education program with ISH, the leader in Sterile Processing Certifications

West Orange, New Jersey, June 21, 2004 - ISH, Inc. today announced an agreement with Stanford University Medical Center, (SUMC) Stanford CA. to provide an Education and Certification program for Sterile Processing Department. ISH is also mentoring and educating the Supervisory staff. Beginning with an understanding of their current business practices and requirements, ISH will customize their proprietary Instrument Recognition, Sterile Processing Certification, and SPM Microsystems (an Instrument Asset Management System) Education programs to meet the specific strategic needs of SUMC. This will include educating the staff on the differences and requirements of a pediatric versus general population provider. ISH will execute a training program for the entire staff with the goal of 100% of the staff achieving Sterile Processing Technician certification as recognized by either the American Hospital Association for Sterile Processing Professionals or the International Association for Sterile Processing Professionals. ISH will also review the setup and use of SPM and incorporate SPM into the education program.
