FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
FIVE HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS CHOOSE ISH TO LEAD CLINICAL BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT PROJECTS
Projects include wide range of Clinical operational and financial improvement initiatives

FAIRFIELD, NJ: ISH, Inc. announced today the initiation of Clinical Business Management Projects with five major healthcare systems. ISH was awarded contracts with Novant Health, Bristol Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, Thomas Jefferson and Sutter Santa Cruz Maternity and Surgical Hospital.

Novant Health, located in Winston-Salem North Carolina, has chosen ISH to aid in the implementation of Picis OR Manager, Critical Care Manager and Anesthesia. Serving in a project management capacity, ISH will provide services and assume responsibilities that include system design, standardization, test planning, roll out planning, device coordination, communication planning and report planning.

At Sutter Santa Cruz Maternity and Surgical Hospital in California, ISH will serve in a Project Management role leading this client in a Picis Upgrade Project. ISH was chosen for this project as a result of the recent successful PICIS OR Manager implementation they led at Camino Medical Group, a Sutter affiliate.

ISH’s in-depth experience with Clinical Supply Chain was a key factor in being chosen to lead Supply Chain initiatives at both St. Joseph Hospital of Orange in California, and at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Utilizing the IT-Enabled OR Supply Chain Improvement program which integrates process change management, systems implementation/optimization and cultural change, measurable results such as reduced cost per case, reduced inventory value, improved case reimbursement, JCAHO Readiness and improved Clinician satisfaction can be achieved.

At Thomas Jefferson, ISH performed a one week Planning and Design Workshop (Discovery) of the Operating Room Supply Chain. Collaborating with Perioperative and Supply Chain leadership, ISH examined current operational processes for supply chain management, and made recommendations, which Thomas Jefferson will implement under the leadership of ISH’s Clinical Supply Chain experts.

St. Joseph Health System has contracted with ISH, Inc. to develop and implement improved processes for Materials Management within the Surgery Department, including their new Patient Care Center. This will include establishing a locator system for supplies, developing par levels using volume/velocity analyses, developing par reordering processes using the hospital’s existing automated systems (PMM and Picis), formalizing and documenting materials management processes within the Surgery department, developing training materials and training the staff in new processes.

Bristol Hospital in Connecticut sought the help of ISH to aid in an initiative to improve the operational and financial performance of Perioperative Services. This includes aiding Bristol in implementing and obtaining full functionality and true business intelligence from the GE Centricity ORMIS application, and working with leadership to determine a future state workflow for Scheduling, Preference Card Build, Post-Case Data Entry, AST interface and Item Master interface.
