I am writing this letter on behalf of Henry Medical Center's Materials Management Department to express our appreciation for all the assistance provided by Cindy Sommers during our recent software analysis project.

We currently use the HBOC/ESI DOS software applications for Materials Management, Surgery, and Accounting. In early 1999 we went through the implementation process for this software application and learned just the basic system functions. After working with the program for some time, we realized that we needed assistance to review all set up options in order to maximize system utilization, correct recurring errors, improve data flow between all modules, and explore more advanced features and short cuts to improve productivity. Cindy's extensive knowledge of this program has allowed us to maximize utilization of the various modules including, but not limited to, Inventory Management, Par Stock Supply Replenishment, Orbit Surgical Manager, Receiving, Titan Financials, and Electronic Requisitioning.

She has provided a valuable service to us by identifying file errors and numerous programs that were not listed in our set up options. Through a series of interviews with our staff she identified computer procedures that could be improved and enhanced. She offered numerous tips to all staff that have saved processing time and improved the accuracy of the transactions.

In addition to Cindy's knowledge of the software application, her experience in the Materials Management field adds a great deal to her ability to resolve departmental software problems while maintaining the integrity of the purchasing policies and procedures. This is a rare combination and, in my opinion, Cindy is a very valuable resource because she can look at things from the right perspective, rather than just the computer software options.

I do not want to be remiss in adding that Cindy is a delight to work with. She is very professional and has a friendly personality and easygoing style that contributed to the success of the project. I am very glad that Implementation Specialist for Healthcare, Inc. was chosen for our project, and I am particularly delighted that Cindy Sommers was given the assignment to work with us. We look forward to working with her on any future projects.
